On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Mashad Organization launched today, Wednesday, an extensive campaign in Al-Dabba locality to support women affected by abuses perpetrated by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in several Sudanese states.The organization distributed 2,800 health kits within the camps and affected communities to meet basic needs and enhance women’s health. In addition, direct financial support of 100,000 Sudanese pounds was provided to each woman, benefiting a total of 3,100 women across the states of Kordofan, Darfur, White Nile, Gezira, Gedaref, and Northern State – Al-Dabba.The campaign inauguration was attended by Mr. Mustafa Abbas Abdullah, Director of Mashad’s Sudan Office, who highlighted that the initiative aims to empower and protect women under conditions of forced displacement and to support them after the assaults and violations they endured. He also listened to testimonies from survivors to understand the most pressing challenges and needs they face.Mr. Mustafa emphasized that Mashad works diligently to amplify the voices of affected women to the international community, calling for accountability for the RSF and an end to ongoing violations against women in Sudan.The organization also expressed its gratitude to the Northern State authorities for facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, helping alleviate the suffering of thousands of families, and ensuring that assistance reaches those most in need in an organized and effective manner.The campaign focuses on providing direct humanitarian assistance, empowering women, and protecting their rights, and Mashad issues an urgent call to the international community to stand with affected women in Sudan, ensure accountability for the RSF, and uphold the protection of women both inside and outside Sudan.
