إن أي عملية سلام تُبنى بمعزل عن الشعب السوداني، بوصفه صاحب المصلحة الحقيقية، وتُفرض تحت هيمنة القوى السياسية المتنازعة أو النخب الفاشلة، ودون معالجة جذرية لملف الميليشيات عبر الحل الشامل وإعادة دمج أفرادها في مؤسسات الدولة على أسس مهنية صارمة، مع إعادة تأهيل الأجهزة الأمنية والعسكرية وفق عقيدة وطنية خالصة، وسنّ تشريعات قاطعة تمنع مشاركة أي جهة عسكرية في السلطة، ومحاسبة كل من ارتكب انتهاكات بحق الشعب والوطن — إنما تُعد سلاماً شكلياً على الورق، واستراحة مؤقتة تمهد لحرب جديدة.

Any peace process that is crafted without the genuine participation of the Sudanese people—the true stakeholders—and that is dominated by rival political elites or failed power groups, while neglecting the dismantling of all militias through comprehensive disarmament, demobilization, and reintegration into state institutions under strict professional standards, together with the rehabilitation of security and military structures on the basis of a purely national doctrine, the enactment of binding legislation prohibiting any military entity from participating in political power, and the prosecution of all those responsible for crimes against the Sudanese people and the state—can only be regarded as a superficial peace on paper, a temporary pause that lays the groundwork for a new cycle of conflict.
