Mashad Observatory Warns of Foreig Interventions
Funding Hate Speech and Fueling Division in Sudan
The Mashad Observatory is following with deep concern and a strong sense of national responsibility the alarming developments taking place in Sudan, manifested in the resurgence of tribal conflicts, the growing manifestations of fanaticism and hate speech, as well as the escalation of media disinformation campaigns and the spread of misleading narratives that target the social fabric and national unity, while distorting Sudan’s image domestically and internationally.
Based on credible data and analyses, the Observatory has documented the involvement of several foreign states in supporting and financing suspicious media and field activities through tribal groups, activists, and paid digital platforms that seek to ignite internal discord and exacerbate social divisions. These actions represent a desperate attempt to undermine national cohesion after their previous project to dominate Sudan through support for the terrorist Rapid Support Forces failed.
The Mashad Observatory strongly condemns these hostile interventions, which constitute a complete crime against Sudan’s sovereignty and stability, and a dangerous attempt to reshape the national scene according to foreign agendas that have nothing to do with the interests of the Sudanese people.
The Observatory affirms that such practices are a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness and pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
The Observatory calls upon the Sudanese people, in all their diversity, to exercise deep national awareness and to thwart these destructive schemes by strengthening the values of unity and cohesion and rejecting all forms of incitement, hatred, and foreign-funded media subversion. It also urges the competent authorities to take strict measures against anyone proven to have received external support or engaged in media incitement or the dissemination of disinformation aimed at undermining the country and its stability.
The Observatory warns the states and entities that finance these campaigns and fuel divisions of the consequences of continuing this hostile approach, stressing that Sudan will remain resilient against all attempts at infiltration and political or media blackmail. The Observatory further calls on the international and regional communities to condemn these destructive policies and to stand with Sudan in its efforts to achieve just and lasting peace and to uphold the values of civility, democracy, justice, and human dignity.
The Mashad Observatory reaffirms its commitment to continuing its mission of monitoring, documentation, and objective analysis of all practices and violations affecting Sudan’s stability, and to submitting its periodic reports to the relevant international bodies, in fulfillment of its national and moral responsibility to protect the truth and defend the safety and unity of the homeland.
